Surviving the drought
Despite a few 100 degree days, course is still green and solid. The greens themselves were a bit slow, but rolled true. Free bottles of water throughout the courses was huge on such a hot day.
One of the best courses in the area
As a high handicapper (23) this is the perfect course for me. It offers plenty of forgiveness off of the tees, has great character, and is in excellent condition (especially considering the recent heat wave and drought). Can’t beat the Tuesday special of 18 holes walking for $39. This course has it all. Superb. That is all.
Fun Course
I am always impressed with the conditions of this course. I have noticed that the last few years have seen a lot of play on this course and the only complaint I have is people are fixing their divot marks on the greens which have taken a beating as a result.
Decent Sunday, good conditions, pace was meh.
The greens were still healing from being punched, not overly awful, but there were some greens that still had an effect. The pace was a little lacking, 4:50 round on a Sunday - which is not awful by any stretch, but not the target of 4:!5-4:30.
Otherwise, the track was in great shape tee to green. Always enjoy playing there, the layout is fun with ample opportunity for risk/reward shots.
Slow pace / punched greens
Could be a really fun course with an interesting layout. However, apparently they punch their greens in the beginning of July? They didn’t tell us when we checked in and we payed full price for punched greens.
No ranger on the course to help the pace. Didn’t play the last 5 holes because we were already at 4.5 hours. We waited for every shot starting on hole 2. 75 bucks for punched greens and a 6 hour round… I’d spend that somewhere else.
Nice course layout
Had a fun day on a course that is on the forgivable side. Things are in good shape but for the aerated greens. That soon will pass.
Disappointed
Overall course conditions were good, but once again, pace of play too slow.
Beautiful, fun course!!!!
1st time playing Scottish Highlands. Took a little time to get use to the very quick greens, but everything about the course was outstanding. Will definitely be back!!
