Trash
Really sad to see this place go down the drain. It won’t let me upload the video of the 14th tee but trust me when I tell you this place is garbage. People who are 5 starting this place don’t know a thing
Adding my review like the pro told us to
Just here to reiterate my review of this dump, as I have no personal connection to this course. Like the past few reviews have stated, you are wasting your time and money if you play here. Greens are shot, fringes are burnt, fairways are pretty bad, and tee boxes are dirt. It's sad when the mini courses are in far better shape, but this is the current state of crestview. Pass this place by, members ( not sure how you could justify joining this place,) should be irate at the conditions. Every little shortcut that can be taken, is taken. Don't expect to find water in the ball washers, or a cart girl that can take a card in 2022, but what you will find is tires and trenches in the weed and grass filled bunkers.
Please save yourself the frustration of playing this dump.
Embarrassing
The pro should be embarrassed, and you will be too if you catch yourself playing this course. It's only saving grace is that we are in a drought, otherwise you could add that the course would be under water to the line of issues at this course. On top of everything mentioned in my reviews below ( again, that was the suggestion from the pro that refuses to play this course) the 4 man crew that maintains this place essentially played 10 holes with us, getting in front of and behind us from 1-10. They were taking the 3 wheeler through the traps, which was a complete waste of time since they look like garbage, and in fact have garbage throughout them (tires in the trap...)
When this was mentioned to the workers, it was as if WE were the idiots for playing golf mid morning on a Saturday in the summer. Everyone working here knows it's a dump, you need to know that before booking a round as well.
Avoid this course at all costs. You have been warned again.
There are better courses in Agawam
Just me again, following the orders from the pro and leaving a review. I cannot reiterate this enough, save your money and play somewhere else. If the pro refuses to play this course, do the same. Sad to say there are better courses in Agawam, as this has become the bottom of the barrel.
Just pass this pile by, you will regret playing this course
You have been warned
Worst course in the valley
DO NOT BOOK A ROUND HERE.
100 degrees out, not a drop of water in sight. Way overpriced, I wouldn't pay more than $20 with a cart to play here.
DO NOT PLAY THIS COURSE, I AM WARNING YOU.
trenches cut throughout the bunkers, sets of tires in other bunkers. Clearly the owner uses this golf course as well as elmcrest as a write-off, so don't expect anything to ever change. The pro, who stated that he would never play this course, should be embarrassed to swipe your credit card, knowing the shape of this course.
Let me say that again, so you read it for a 3rd time before you even think about booking a round here. THE PRO REFUSES TO PLAY THIS COURSE.
You don't need to even hear anything else. Let this course die. It won't let me add the picture, but being in a trap was like being in the grand canyon, there is no maintenance going on at this course. For $30 more, you can play The Ranch. Do yourself a favor and pass this course by
Heist of the century
How far the mighty have fallen. You would never believe the LPGA played here. Not only has the course fallen off hard, the staff could not care about anything. The pro even said he never plays here, but gladly took out 70 dollars to ride this pile of doo-doo. It's so bad that they will not give you an avenue to make a complaint to the owner, who clearly does not care either. Cups had not been changed in a few days, and the greens were in terrible condition. When you talk to the staff, even they know what a horrible course this is, and when there are only 4 people to maintain the entire course, of course it falls this hard. Do not play here. I will say that again for anyone that sees an open tee time and had a soul. Do not play this course. Let it die off as it should.
Needs TLC
This course needs some TLC to be returned to its prior greatness. One of the better layouts in the area and previously a top-notch club, the conditions have slipped dramatically in the past 5-6 years. Tee boxes were in rough shape, lots of burnt out areas in the fairways and the greens don't roll quite like they used to. Staff was very friendly. No water or iced tea like they used to have in the gazebo out on the course, or in the 10th hole stand. Cart paths are in bad shape. Somebody save Crestview!
Better than the previous reviews
I live in Agawam and golf at Crestview a few times a year. Other than that I do not have any personal connection to the course. However I just read some reviews from somebody who obviously has a vindictive against this course. It looks like they posted four times nothing positive. Once is enough. In regards to Crestview Out of the four courses in Agawam it’s one of the nicer ones. It’s a shadow of what it once was but it’s still a good course with a good and challenging layout. Major concern is that the cart paths need some work. But overall the course is maintained well. Unfortunately the signature trap on number 18 in front of the green is overgrown but that’s minor. I’ve always found the staff to be friendly and the patio is a great place to sit out and enjoy an evening around one of the fire pits.
Great course......bad traps.
Loved the course. Great layout. The sand traps were mostly dirt and mud. That was the only bad part.
Late summer round
Course was understaffed and they made the best of what they could
Wedding was going on during our round so no food/drink was available
Course played well (soft/soggy) even after a good two day soaking rain
Starter gave us an alternate tee time and sent us off the back 9 due to course championship…
Very accommodating
I played there a few times but it was my son’s first round here and was pleased… will be back again!!!
Needs TLC!!
Course has been neglected..many areas need seeding. Greens use to roll much better.. traps are a disaster!!
You can get much better experience for 25to 30 dollars less at many other courses
Makes me sad being former member of one of the finest layouts in area
I think they just gave up...
This use to be my favorite course, truly. I called ahead as there was some extreme weather the day
before. They said they had not been impacted and the course was fine. That being said, I use to come to this course for its layout and greens. What was once fast and true greens are no longer the case. Tee boxes, horrible, Cart paths are perhaps the worst (feeling it today). The picture shows an area greenside (within 10 feet of a green) Someone gave up. I hope Crestview can return to its old form, I'll miss it til then...
