Speed
You need rangers to move folks along went out front 9 hour and a half no problem back 9 THREE HOURS
There were lots of empty holes in front of the two groups in front of us
bad greens
this is an interesting course but they don't put much money into it so it is not often found in good shape. The greens are slow and bumpy they do not roll the greens, the conditions around the greens is usually spotty with grass so it is mote often you are chipping off of dirt and not grass. the sand traps are filled with water. it is a 15.00 round for 40.00 but when You dont have a lot of time
it is really a waste to go there.
Fairchild Wheeler Red
Played here several times. Today, a Sunday, 12noon tee off. Nobody in front. Nobody behind.
Fairways a bit wet in spots with torrential rains yesterday. Great experience. Stocked bar and good food.
I’d say tough to walk, hilly, but great par 5s, greens and tee boxes manicured. Back soon
1st Hole #1 Handicap
Nice Challenging course. Some holes a hill is a factor is how you play. Make sure you use 1 or two extra clubs to get up the hill. Greens were slow to moderate speeds. Fairways were wide and forgiving. On many of the holes do not hit over the greens because you will end up in the woods. There were a lot of trees but not much shade.
The course is good for every level of player
The course is in very good condition now and good for all level of players.
Good Day
Our foursome had a great day .With the threat of rain an thunderstorm we played a quick 18. We're pushed or held up all day.
Wheeler Cone A Long Way
The course has improved over the years. I learned to play golf here. Greens very slow! Course is short from the tips but the 5s are long! Short 4s. Short 3s. Black course is harder I think. Easy to get on and great value for price.
Fairchild Wheeler Red
On a Memorial Day weekend played a Saturday 12 noon round in three and a half. Course in great shape some fairways wet in small areas. Greens perfect. Carts give great yardage info. Would say tough to walk - hilly. Will play again.
great course
the course is in great shape. greens are excellent condition. challenging yet not punishing. very friendly people
Enjoyable course
It is certainly early in to the year but the have put some effort in clearing debris and leavyys from the course
Cold day-
Have played here few times and by far the fastest round ever. Cold and windy made for tearing through for a change. Like the layout. Well designed with some nice challenges.
Great to get play in January
The course was in pretty good shape for being January in CT. There were patches of snow and balls bounced over greens but they let us use carts on this hilly course. We really appreciated being able to get out when almost every other course in the area was closed.
