Rhode Island might not be the first place to come to mind when you think top-notch golf destination, but this beautiful state has some wonderful courses to choose from.

Rhode Island Country Club has been recognized by Golf Digest as one of the best rounds of golf in Rhode Island and plays along the stunning Narragansett Bay. Metacomet Country Club is a spectacular Donald Ross design, and Bristol Golf Club is the game at its stripped down best.

For a more prestigious pedigree, head to Newport Country Club, which was founded in 1894 and has hosted the U.S. Open. Rhode Island is also boasts myriad historical landmarks and spectacular nature to keep you busy off the course.
