New Hampshire Destination Guide

New Hampshire Transportation

New Hampshire is only 200 miles north to south and 100 miles wide at its widest. Concord, located in the southeast part of the state is 70 miles north of Boston on I-93 and 250 miles from New York City. Further south, Hartford is 140 miles away. Concord borders Canada, with Montreal the closest major Canadian city.

New Hampshire is hilly and serviced by a variety of regional airports, but the largest major airport is Logan International Airport an hour away in Boston.

FAQ

1. What is the climate in New Hampshire?

As with every New England state, the further away from the coast, the warmer it gets, which means once you get into the mountains of inner New Hampshire, temps are five to ten degrees warmer. Summers in New Hampshire range from May to August, with highs rarely over 90. The golf season in New Hampshire ranges from early May to late September. After that, resorts and courses begin shutting down for the winter ski season.

2. How rugged is New Hampshire?

New Hampshire is known more for its ski resorts than golf, and Mount Washington, located in New Hampshire is the tallest point in New England.
