Great course a personal favorite
Campbell’s won’t disappoint if your looking for a great round of golf .
Great Course, always in great condition. Pace of play is 4 hrs and often times less. Overall great bang for your buck.
Great Shape!
I definitely recommend this course. It is in great shape and is enjoyable for all skill levels.
Love this place
Great day, just got stuck behind an insanely slow group. Shot my personal best today. Can’t wait to come back though.
Well Maintained
My wife and I played this course for the very first time. We started on the back nine first which we learned is done on an alternating fashion with the front nine. Good idea! We were joined with a coupe of nice men who made the day more enjoyable. I rarely make a suggestion but here goes. On hole # 8 which is a drivable par four for some. This was our next to last hole and we have been waiting on every tee and I'm ok with that. However, the twosome behind decided to hit their tee shot while all four of us where still putting on the green. The orange golf ball landed on a fly in between my wife and I at our feet with such ferocity that it actually frightened me and made me instantly sick to my stomach. The ball bounded over the green. There was no yelling of the word "fore" from the twosome. I waived my arms to try and stop the group from hitting their 2nd shot to no avail and the ball landed in the front left bunker. I decided to wait at the cross roads to talk to them and advise of their misjudgment. The two youths that approached were not receptive to my thoughts of waiting for the green to clear before hitting. The one that hit the orange ball told me that it's a par four and he could hit his tee shot anytime he wanted. I immersed on him that if that ball hits us on a fly we could have been killed. He still did not listen to reason. So we drove off to play our last hole. While we were in the middle of the fairway he drove up and offered a sincere apology which I gladly accepted. So long story for my suggestion of putting up a sign on the tee area of hole # 8 stating something to the affect of "If you think you could reach the green wait for it to clear". Respectfully submitted,, Retired PGA golf professional.
Met Expectations
Top 10 weather day of the season, but due to heavy rains in July, carts still restricted to paths.
A Cut Above
Campbell's is a cut above a normal public golf course. The course is always in great shape and due to all the rain New England has had this summer it is greener than ever. Great course really nice clubhouse. Campbell's has become more player friendly in the past few years with the removal of some trees and bunkers. If you are playing well you can post a nice score here, especially the back side. Great great great place to play.
Great $$$ for the course
Had a noon time tee and played under 4h30m course great condition beer cart girl came by at least 4 times great course will comeback again
Wet summer!
2nd week in a row when carts are restricted to paths due to unusually heavy rains. Also affecting bunkers.
Summary of 2 Rounds
I played here both days of the weekend. The course is easy for me to get to, and I like the layout because there is a lot of elevation change, and it's mostly forgiving off the tee. The course is very short, so there are plenty of birdies to be had. Because of the length and forgiveness, rounds usually take just over 4 hours. Not this weekend, however, partly due to the wet conditions and cart path only. The rounds should still have been not much more than 4 hours, but people don't know how to play ready. It may have been the wet conditions, but the greens are starting to get beat up. Repair your ball marks, people! I also had something happen to me on my Sunday round which was a first. The starter must have been having a bad morning. I arrived with plenty of time before my 11:10 tee time. I stopped inside to grab a quick bite to eat and headed out to the first tee at 11:02. The starter was yelling at the group on the tee, and they were yelling back at him. I wasn't sure what was going on, but I was none too pleased to find out that the starter had already sent out my group, and that I would have to catch up to them. So basically I didn't get to play the first 2 holes, and had to disrupt the afternoon tee sheet by having them allow me to play the first 2 holes after I got off 18. I appreciate the afternoon starter who let me do that, and I finished as quickly as I could. I love playing this course and hope that never happens again.
