This course is cart path only which slows pace of play. Conditions were not very good due to the drought. We were told that we were behind pace but that was because the group in front of us was a no show. Pembroke really Ned’s to reconsider their cart path only.rule. How about a 90 degree rule instead?
Fair course
Plan on carrying or pulling clubs, almost always cart part only… with lack of rain course is in okay condition, staff is very friendly and we enjoyed our round ….
Pembroke
This is 2nd time playing here and it was cart path only . This is long course, 90 degrees out . Would have been easier walking wirh pull cart. and not paying for cart.
Called and they verified always cart path only. Wont be back
It’s alright.
Course conditions weren’t the best. Fairways and tee boxes weren’t the best maintained. Fairways had TONS of dead spots so your next shot is out of hard dirt. Greens were very well done. Very fast. Enjoyed those. For $64 on a Monday morning. Not the best rate around
Good and Simple
Enjoyed the round. Damage around traps, including some that were super hard. Wish it had been scatter for carts - seemed really dry.
Very pretty course
Very enjoyable round; the course is in good shape, despite the lack of rain this year. Bring your long game, a number of long par 4's await. But most of the fairways are quite wide, the greens are well cared for and consistent, and the tee boxes are wide and green. Overall, a good and challenging course. Can't wait to play it again.
Terrible, not worth it
Honestly the pace of play was so bad it was hard to enjoy golf, waited a good 10 minutes before every hole and the Marshall did not care. Course conditions aren’t good either. It’s a shame cause it isn’t a bad layout but the pace of play was truly horrible. Insanely overpriced as well
Place sucks
It would take to much writing to explain all the details
Pembroke once a great course
Played one of the old-time favorites of mine. Went as a single and moved along great. Car path only and always what they told me. OK no problem. Great layout. Needs a lot of work and still after 10 years the car paths are terrible. Went to the pro shop and asked are you going to improve the course and they had no answer. It's a shame to see this course go downhill. Thanks BG
Drought
They are doing the best they can considering the drought. Course is not in the best of shape for $80+. Carts are basic, no water on the course, no beer cart,
I get the water situation but how about a break in the greens fees to account for that.
Hidden Gem
Pembroke is sort of the "forgotten course" in the area. It doesn't get as much play as it should, but it's a fun course to play. Our group of seniors play the forward tees and that's plenty long for us; but it be a challenge from the back tees distance-wise. We enjoy Pembroke!
Course is very dry, but holding up okay. One green had bare spots, others were fine. Golf carts are in poor shape and some structures needed minor repairs. I hope they are not in financial trouble. A few things fixed and it would be a 5 star review.
Always enjoy playing Pembroke
Pembroke has one of the best layouts around. Yes it's burnt out in a lot of areas but many courses are right now given the insane drought. Always treated great by the Pro Shop and starters. Cart path only all the time but I'm used to it at this point.
