Situated in the heart of the beautiful Berkshires, Skyline Country Club offers golfers a setting unlike any other. With views that span the surrounding mountains and stretch to the Pontoosuc Lake, the golf course is New England scenery at its best. Besides just the stunning location, the golf course presents quite a challenge. You'll face a handful of blind shots as well as tricky uphill and downhill holes. The signature hole is the par-3 fifth. You'll find yourself stuck in a wooded ravine if you're too far left on this scenic, downhill hole but too far right and you'll be up on a ledge with a 15-foot drop to the green. Another tough hole follows, but it's less daunting than it appears. Skyline Country Club's par-4 sixth starts with a blind shot but the trees serve as a marker for your drive. With a good first shot, you could possibly make it onto the green in two.

Stay away!
If hot deal is free do not take it! Staff was unfriendly and complained immediately about be booking my tee time thru golf now. Course was u playable with golf cart all four wheels underwater on the second hole I couldn’t move it. After pushing it out and I was covered in mud and water went back to clubhouse and asked for refund again he told me to take it up with golf now and was very rude. Golf now took care of me but you should not ever play this course for any reason!!
Terrible
The course is in terrible condition, greens are awful and the course is poorly maintained. Worst I’ve ever seen!!
good value, needs work
Picturesque course, some challenging holes. A few greens and tees need work.
only the price was right
We were rudely greeted when we checked in by the guy in the pro shop who complained that the course gets no income when booked through GolfNow, as if GolfNow forced them to use their services.
The cart paths are treacherous; one bridge is a major accident to happen on the back 9. Fairways on the front 9 are close to each other so watch out for balls coming at you from holes on either side. Very few yardage markers so be sure to use your own GPS for distances. Lots of blind shots.
Beautiful vistas, bumpy cart paths
The course has some beautiful vistas, but could be maintained much better. The cart paths are horrible and, the sand traps mostly do not contain sand. The greens have a few bare spots, but in general are pretty decent, as are the fairways. There are a few holes with no view of the hole from the tee, and little guidance from the club as to how to play them. They make an excellent hot dog at the turn.
Panoramic Views of the Berkshires + Some Golf
The huge panoramic views of beautiful western Mass were the most noteworthy aspect of this course. Hole layouts were creative and the greens were in good condition. Overall, a solid course.
Worth a try.
As I drove up, the first scene was trash on the ground around the dumpster. That defined the maintenance of the facility. Holes and paths near the clubhouse look good. As you get to other holes, some greens are part bare and cart paths need maintenance. Don't get close to another cart as you will be covered with dirt. One cart path (10 or 11?) was washed out and dangerous with no warning sign. Otherwise, it was hilly and challenging. Worth trying. And as other reviews said, the pro has to point out you bought your round through Golf Now. Actually, I'm glad I did as I wouldn't want to pay full price for this course.
Not a Good Day For Golf
With high winds and low temperatures the conditions did not favor a round of golf. The first two holes are misleading; long, straight and up hill. Then it gets interesting. Our group often talks about how interesting a course is. Skyline is VERY INTERESTING and challenging for the likes of me, BUT I'm going back as it's a great course.
Good for the money
Good for the money. Fairways were a disaster, very poorly maintained. Some EXTREMELY challenging holes, some very basic holes. I definitely will not take the 90 minute ride to play this course again, but if I happened to be in the area I may give it another round. Definitely some great views. If the club put some money into the place it could be fantastic.
Great course for great money value
This course for this time of years was awesome and could not beat the hot deal values
Late November Round
A few tricky holes with blind shots and dog-legs. The Pro-shop staff was very helpful in pointing out the difficult holes and lay-up distances. The views would be excellent in the fall folliage months.
Disappointed in condition and Pro
The greens were in terrible condition. The fairways were chewed up and aerated. However, the worst aspect was the attitude of the Pro/cashier/owner. He complained about GolfNow and how he gets none of the moneys paid (Hot Deal). Very poor business man, if you ask me.
Great course!
We played the course approximately 6 times, enjoyed our game every time!
Great Views - Poor Course
Despite some of the best views in Western MA, this is a very poorly conceived and poorly maintained course. Holes range from boring to ludicrous. Below average experience in every respect, from rundown clubhouse to ramshackle carts without windshields. Don't bother
Golf Pro Annoyed by Offer
My girlfriend and I love this golf course and love taking advantage of the great deal offered on Golf Now, but we will no longer visit due to the fact the Golf Pro at the course was annoyed that we used the deal and spoke to me like I wasn't a worthy customer. He made me feel unwanted and told me to "buy at least a soda or something so that you give us some of your money and not all to Golf Now". If he does not want traffic from the people taking advantage of Golf Now then maybe he should not participate. This is not the first time he has tried to pull the guilt trip on me and has made comments that made me uneasy and uncomfortable. So needless to say I am sad that I can no longer play at a course that we really love due to the staff and their lack of appreciation for customers.
skyline
this course is great for $20. Confusing at times as were to go from one hole to the next. WE have have great weather. there is no reason for the greens to be in poor shape and they were. Skyline aka no thrills golf. The redeeming quality is the course is scenic.
Love the views!
It was our second time playing at Skyline. We loved it do much we brought friends the second time. They want to play again, now that they know the course. If it wasn't for the valuable tip from the woman in the pro shop, we women would have been in serious trouble on the fourth. And, of course, the views were spectacular!!!
Fun Time
Course was wet after heavy rains but drained fairly quickly. Great views on almost every hole. Staff friendly and helpful. Maintenance was scraping the mostly dirt cart paths smooth. Really great course conditions. This place is a gem!
Challenging and a bit quirky
The course was in good shape considering the harsh winter. There were still a few areas which hadn't fully recovered. The greens were pretty quick and had a few bumps. Played behind a tournament so the pace was a bit slow but as a twosome we were not held up much all things considered.
Views from some of the holes are great!
