Very challenging course, not the course you want to walk, poor staff.
At the time, carts weren't available as it was too early in the morning. so we were given push carts. The carts were in very poor condition, and we were treated as definite outsiders to the country club. We were a foursome playing behind a three some, we were instructed at the turn to pick up our pace of play because the group in front was farther ahead of us, we also rounded the first 9 just shy over two hours, walking an extremely hilly course when its full. We were again approached a couple holes later to pick up our pace, we felt very rushed and unwelcomed. Course was in great condition, Carts at the time would've helped. The staff was just very rude which makes you want to try different courses.
Review
Pro shop management excellent very friendly and helpful.
Snack area very much overpriced bring your own beer
Course conditions very good for this time of year
Friendly 18
Played 18 with several members , course was in great shape for March. Will def be back to play again.
Solid course. Neat layout. Lots of changes in elevation. Played the day after it had rained and the low areas held a ton of water. However the rest of the course was in great shape.
Great course
Course was very well kept, I loved playing it. It’s extremely unique, the rolling hills are beautiful. I highly recommend it. Even if you don’t like playing hilly courses, it’s worth the sights.
Trash
Course, people, conditions were all trash. Avoiding this place like the plague from now on.
Terrible conditions and scum bag members
This place is an absolute disaster. Not one good thing for me to say about the place besides the greens being on point. It’s an ugly, hilly, difficult course. Come on down if you are a scumbag mass hole who can’t afford a real membership, otherwise I’d suggest other places if you want nice conditions, quick pace and friendly patrons. The people here were all trash.
Every club in the bag
I’ve been playing SSCC for 20+ years. It’s a true test of golf. While not the longest course, it makes you work for every shot. They do a wonderful job maintaining the greens, most which slope back to front (keep the ball below the hole!!!) They have been improving the course steadily for the last 5-6 years, adding additional tee boxes, sand traps, and even a few greens modifications. Personally, I enjoy having different looks at certain holes because they frequently change the placement of the tees. I’ll usually get to hit almost every club in the bag, and the layout allows for creativity. The maintenance of the tees/greens/fairways is on point(let’s be fair, there was a moderate drought almost all season). It’s been a challenging year to make tee times so plan accordingly and in advance. In addition, with the amount of traffic the course sees on a daily basis, they do a great job managing the course across the board. The gentlemen in the pro-shop are always polite and welcoming to members and non-members alike. Most importantly in today’s world, they immediately and thoroughly disinfect all the carts upon return. A closing piece of advice: there’s a lot of false fronts and elevated greens so club up accordingly!

Tee boxes were in rough shape, lot of maintenance going on that roped off certain areas in play, and the staff at the entrance to check in and get a cart was very rude. Overall the course is gorgeous and would be great when conditions are better, but for now just an average from me
Rain Day!!!!
Not a single person besides the 4 morons that decided to still play...those 4 being myself and my foursome. Everyone got a cart. Pace of play was amazing, as no one was there. Course conditions, with it being rainy and gross ALL day, were STILL stellar. Greens were in amazing shape and recovered well from aeration. The fairways and rough were in good shape as well. Will be playing here again
