Winter Golf in Halifax
Lefty paradise. Great track. Played here so many times and will be back. Off course amenities were unavailable due to it being the middle of February. Track was a little wet, but again…February. Pace of play was ok once we got past a foursome who refused to let us play through, causing us to skip hole 6.
The Greens
Golf aficionados should sample the roll on these greens. Tour quality greens. Fairways are in good shape and the rough is well kinda rough around the edges.
Effort
Greens good ,,fairways good,, property clean raked so you can find your ball. ,,,food ,, practice area ,,chip putt and also a practice range.
Great course
This course is great. I grew up playing here. When you play in February, you don’t have the highest expectations for the conditions of the course. However, Halifax CC was in great shape already. The course was clear of debris, and the greens were as frustratingly fast as they always have been.
Halifax, great as always
The name says it all. The course was in pristine condition. The leaf cleanup was a level above courses in the area. I will always recommend this track
Highly Enjoyable Late in the Season!
This season has seen it all from a weather stand point. Droughts, torrential rain, scorchers and early chills…. The grounds crew has kept the course in phenomenal condition. Our group had a great time and other then the snack bar having a limited selection at the turn, we had a blast!
Beautiful Course in the backroads
First time playing here today, course was gorgeous. I never write reviews, but this course truly surprised me. If it wasn't so far away, I would join as a member! Greens were aerated but that is expected this time of year.
Course was challenging, but also fair. Hit your shots straight, and play some target golf, and you'll love the course!
