I would like to comment on the condition of Locust Valley and its staff.
This Golf Course is GREAT for FOR ANYONE WHO REALLY LOVES the sport.
The Publice is welcomed it's pleasant .
It's kept up very nice the crew that works there has a history and work very hard & are proud of it. They have done a wondeful job maintaining this place for years.
I can not say Enough about it and would golf there everyday If I could.

greens are superb...the rest of the course is terrible...i can understand that without fairway watering they could be sparse...what i don't understand is why the rough is so ragged and much too high for a public fee course...i spend 5 hours playing a round there mostly because of how the rough causes everyone playing to spend so much time looking for the ball...even a foot off the cut fairway and your in trouble...i talked to some of the maintainance people and they have no say in the conditions...the current manager has taken it on himself to create this nightmare and is turns a deaf ear to criticism..i doubt this review will help make any changes there...i will never play there again and will discourage any to play there
