Nice enough
greens were good fairways pretty good. They are doing some upkeep on the course so it should be real nice in the summer
Good course
For the first time since I’ve started playing here, the pace of play was finally quick. The course was in great shape for basically being the first weekend since opening. Off course, the range was open, and it was nice to be able to warm up. The turn wasn’t REALLY open for food and refreshments, but the meat missiles were pretty good.
Great course
Love this course. Just wish it had a bar/restaurant for after.
A Favorite Every Year
Had a serious traffic tie-up making me late for prepaid tee time, playing as a single. Dana in the Pro Shop and the Starter, Bruce demonstrated outstanding customer service in weaving me in with no inconvenience to any golfers. Beyond that, fun to play in the shadow of Titleist's home. Great layout - go there!
Working too hard...and
Considering this is a town run course, it was in good shape for this time of year as the groundscrew and Mother Nature are working to see if some grass can grow...
Greens were quick, the traps fluffy, and the staff worked very hard...coming off a 100+ golfer week end)per the pro shop)...and that says it all...
A good course to play and worth the drive...
To the starter, dont work so hard(he will understand)...LOL
Oh, most important...tossed up my first hole in one on 17th...saved the ball, and had the scorecard signed...
Play this course!
Not a bad start to the season
I made a tee time as a single late in the week as the forecast improved. I've played here before, but usually only once or twice a year. The layout is fine, if a little short, so driver isn't really needed. Unfortunately, I prefer hitting driver so I took it out every time. The course was in decent shape, especially for my first round of the year and the first weekend they were open. Greens were fine, but the back nine seemed a lot slower than the front. Overall, a decent start to the year at a decent course for a decent price through Golfnow.
December Golf
Well taking care of course
There was 2 temporary greens because some horses or cows got loose and trampled them .
But always a pleaser to play there are my favorite courses
Almost perfect day
Had a great time as usual. Only thing I wish something was said prior about a few of the holes having temporary off green pin location. Other than that it was a great time as always.
Good Golf Course
I thought course was fair. Early holes are easier and reachable (GIR). Variability in course design with Front 11 in the woods, while back 7 wide open.
tucked pins
This course is in excellent "shape", meaning fairways, greens and bunkers are well maintained.
that said, the setup was "score repellent". Every single pin was inside 2 yards of the edge and the greens are tiny. further, many holes are right on the edge if "treelines" where a shot a yard over the green is a lost ball. Last, and most problematic is hole 16, which plays into the tee box of 12. its dangerous. the best driving line is right at the middle teebox of 12. you can't see people tee off as the teeing area for 16 is behind a hill.
lots of "driveable" par 4s (3 holes inside 300 yards from the teebox) are why the course is so short, but zero run makes it play long. they aren't drivable at all.
WHERE'S THE RANGER?
THEY USED TO HAVE A RANGER BY THE NAME OF GARY. SINCE RETIREMENT, THERE IS NO PRESENCE OF A RANGER ANYWHERE ON THE COURSE. YOU CAN'T CONSISTENTLY ASK PATRONS TO ALLOCATE 5-6 HOURS, FOR A ROUND THAT SHOULD ONLY TAKE 4.5.
GOOD COURSE-
The conditions at acushnet are good!!!! tee boxes ,,,fairways ,,, greens,, are good. Fairways and greens probably need to be cut (a little slow).. but ok!!!
The building for is small it has a pro shop and snack bar no seating).
There’s a huge tent for shade ,next to the pro shop building ,,with tables and chairs (nice for shade and chilling under!!!!
Food >>>>sausages,,,hotdogs,, hamburgers,, alcohol ets..
six hour round
it’s a nice course with many good holes but the pace of play was absurd. Many groups ahead playing their own best ball tourney. ranger who did nothing. Brutal.
We apologize for the negative experience you had with the pace of play during your round at our course. We appreciate your feedback and will work on addressing the issue with groups ahead organizing their own tournaments and the ranger's lack of intervention. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
Great layout
Played this course many times and alway a must play with elvation change on the first 11 holes to wide open links style.great shape ,never been disapponited
