A Hillside Cutie

My friends and I were looking for a golf course to tie in to our trip to a local brewery. We happened upon Norway CC and it was a good find. It has a rustic feel to it and you know you are playing a regular golfer's course right away. The variety of holes as they go up and down, and side to side on the hilly property is a lot of fun. The fairways are a little sparse, but the rough is very tough. The conditions were only average, but we knew going in we were going to get what we paid for. Number 5 is a tough par 4 that may be one of the toughest in the state. The finishing hole is a fun driver-wedge hole that plays right up to The 19th Hole.. After two circuits, we were ready to head downtown to the Norway Brewing Company. This brewpub features some of the best beer made in Maine that very few know about. It also has exceptional food and a very welcoming staff. We enjoyed 2 hours of beer, food and talk with the locals, capping off our great golf day in Norway. I recommend a similar day of golf and beer here for anyone who is up for adventure.
