The course features six water hazards: five ponds and the river. Some, like this pond, verge on more than one hole. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 05/09/2023

As seen from the back tee, set at 200-yards, this is hole eight. The tee shot must at least carry the pond if you hope to par the hole. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/25/2022

There are two kinds of misses that become costly into the ninth green: A) landing around five yards shy of the front fringe, and B) even shorter than that. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/25/2022

Great Greens
I have played Pomperaug previously and I must say it is always a pleasure. The course is playable for all levels and the greens are some of the best around. A very picturesque course with water on every hole. Love the people who are always happy to help and found out yesterday that their patio restaurant is now open with fabulous burgers and dogs. Could use a bit more variety on tee placement from white tees to blue but not anything to detract from the wonderful day.

Great Course Great Shape
Loved playing this course. The greens were very smooth and true and it was an excellent mix of long and short holes. Water on almost every hole only added to the beauty of the course. Would recommend to golfers of all levels.
