3rd: par-4, 430. This Cape design tempts you to take the shortest route down the fairway toward the green (on left). Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/07/2021

7th, par-3, 220. A well-guarded and contoured green; a pleasant backdrop. Seen here from its left flank. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/07/2021

8th: par-4, 352. Green complex at this short and steeply downhill hole--made perilous by a pond. Eagle potential, however. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/07/2021

The par-4 14th, 447. Long, beautiful, and possibly deadly. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/07/2021

Sixteen is another excellent, long par-4 concluding on this green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/07/2021

18th, par-5 of 588. The signature hole? I’ll go for that. Great bunkering from Mungeam. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/07/2021

We’ll groomed course
Challenging course. Play from the proper tee box according to your ability not you ego. You’ll enjoy it.
A hidden gem
Who knew this course even existed? Luckily I was gomping (golf/camping) in the area and saw it on golf now. Awesome layout and conditions, green very tricky but fun. Go play it!
Best public course in CT
Always in great shape. Always run perfectly. Best in state
Great course
Always a fantastic day at CT National only complaint was the greens were very sandy. That being said they still rolled fairly true and were speedy as always. Just a pain having your ball and putter covered after every stroke. Will definitely be back in the future the rest of the course was pristine
Terrible pace of play
Course was in good condition, fairways, greens were not bad. Staff was friendly. The layout isn’t bad except for a few holes. Pace of play was the main problem. We had to wait 10-15- minutes almost on every hole. There were 3 to 4 groups on every hole throughout the round. No ranger to be found. That had packed too many people on the course. I understand the need to make money but at some point it has to be enjoyable for everyone paying to play. 5 hours and 35 minutes to play 18 holes on a Saturday afternoon isn’t acceptable. I dont think I’d come back unless the pace of play gets better.
Wonderful day
The greens were electric. Course in great shape. Wonderful day. I enjoyed the dog-leg right holes. Knowing the slope of greens and pin placement would have been valuable info.
great round. great price
I play this course a few times every year. I've never had a bad experience at this course. Highly recommend
Great course
This is a wonderful course. Well maintained and the greens are challenging but fun.
Pristine
It was a wet day and had to stay on path, no problem because of nice tar! Had a great time be careful 3 putting is easy as my buddy. One of my favorites only problem is 1 hour drive. Keep up the great work CT National!
Early season - looking good
Checknin was great. Friendly.
The place is shaping up. Early days.
Love it.
Course is really beautiful in season. It’s playable and nice now but nothing like in season. All friendly staff. Only complaint is I wish the cart paths were nicer but I’m sure if they did that the price would skyrocket so I’ll take the small inconvenience of some choppy cart paths. Greens absolutely beautiful and speeds and breaks change accord the weather. Don’t go here. Too many people here already. I love how remote it is but it looks like the secret is getting out more and more each year!!
Good spot
Realizing it is the first week of March, it was great just to be there.
My reason for writing a review is simple, remember as a golfer you are entrusted to replace divots always. I wish that in order to keep places like CT National in conditions, everyone must replace. As a single and playing with "younger players" they just ignored their "pelts" and early in the season that's just negligent.
I like this track very much and recommend it
Masters Saturday
Was a great day out there despite tough conditions. Rained for 3 days prior so course was soggy. Bunkers are still in spring condition and could use a good rake a fluff but to be expected after all the rain. Was windy and had periods of hail on holes 10 and 15, but was great to be out there. As always great views and fun layout. One of my favorite courses in New England.
