The long second hole, a par-4 which doglegs left to reach this raised green, measures 439 yards from the blue tees. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/05/2022

No. 4 at Tunxis White is a tight par-3, its green guarded by water and by Town Farm Road. Par is a very good score here. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/05/2022

It’s gorgeous scenery, but a watery grave will be the fate of golf balls falling well short of green eight. Ditto for misses long or left. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/05/2022

The peninsular green at ten overlooks the lake that borders parts of holes seven through twelve. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/05/2022

My path to green twelve was crossed today by two families of Canada geese. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/05/2022

A pond bisects the seventeenth fairway, and may tempt big hitters to fly it off the tee–if their desire is a wedged approach. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/05/2022

Among the premier holes at Tunxis White are those with greens set on mini-peninsulas. The par-4 seventh is the first you’ll encounter. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 11/21/2021

Eight. Par-3, 164. The second peninsular green may give some golfers jitters on the tee. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 11/21/2021

Ten. Par-4, 347. My favorite hole. A ‘simple’ drive-and-pitch hole to this green, water-guarded everywhere but in front. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 11/21/2021

Twelve. Par-4, 376. A masterful hole--maybe the course’s best--ending on a cleverly contoured green (upon another peninsula). Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 11/21/2021

Four. Par-3, 176. Overdraw your tee shot and your golf ball will be deep-sixed. That’s frost you see in the shadows. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 11/21/2021

Going Downhill fast
This is a super nice course that is going Downhill. Played on a 90 degree day and of course there was no water available which is understanding but there was no cart person and the vending machines were totally empty. Called the ProShop number and it would not go through.
Course is in good shape but they are getting top dollar for every round and have absolutely no amenities available on the course.
Good course
Quick 18. 3 hours walking! Fairways were decent but a lot of ant hills.
Worst time I’ve ever had on a golf course
The round in total took 5 hours to finish the 2 groups in front of us we’re some of the slowest players on earth no rangers out on the course. Our cart ran out of gas on the 13th hole and they told us “oh yeah thats the 10th cart today to run out of gas”. Course has some good holes but most are very narrow fairways with greens smaller than a trash can lid like super tiny greens would recommend going somewhere else to play not worth it.
First round in Northeast
Since all the crap began. Course as I remember it, pretty good shape, greens smooth and consistent. Tunxis adapting as well as anywhere. Played in under 2 hours, first off in a cart.
No food, water, restrooms beside porta potty’s, plan accordingly
Could do no better under tyhe circumstances
Just wanted to pass along my appreciation to the starter at the course, very friendly and easily got you through the paying and send off process. fast round (4:15) and good turf conditions
Fun round
Tight, medium-speed greens, fairways were in great shape, lots of clover in the rough could make it tough to find your ball sometimes. I’ll definitely be playing again. Restaurant and snack bar were closed.
Don’t waste your time
Hadn’t been here in 10+ years. They use an answering service instead of having on site staff field calls. Hire a local kid to run your calls. This Created a cluster.
Called six days in a row until someone finally answered. They booked us for a course they were doing leagues on so the league guys yelled at us as if we were trying to jump on or cut them. tiny little greens made for trolls. We played white course. Target golf. I like courses where you can use driver. Should be charging 20 bucks to walk. Embarrassing. It seems like they don’t want customers. Hopefully they sell to someone who cares. My advice, make the drive over to west Hartford to play Rockledge and skip this place. Local ct guy who won’t return.
Won’t go back

Too Much Clover
We played in a little over 4 1/2 hours at mid day on a Sunday. Pace was a little slow but much of this was due to constantly looking for balls in the rough just a few yards off the fairways due to the clover hiding the balls. The greens were small and didn't hold very well as our group played many shots from over the green regardless of where shots landed on the putting surface. A bit disappointing for the money. We all kind of decided it would be a while if ever we would return to play again.
Sorry
Always a great course.
Conditions were perfect, and the layout is great. If you prefer to walk a course like I do, this is for you.
Perfect course conditions.
The greens and fairways were in great shape. If you like to walk, this is a great layout. It’s fairly flat, but a variety of distances and looks for each hole.
Covid 19 round
Course was in great shape. Everyone doing a good job following the guidelines. I’ll definitely return
Course is always in good condition
Glad to see the signage and enforcement of the 1 person per cart rule at this time. I know there was some difficulty with this a couple of weeks ago with the out of state guests.
Nice Course, Good Condition, Wide Fairways, Rather Flat
Played this course the morning after the Farmington area received about 2 inches of rain. We were required to walk with no advance warning, luckily they had push carts available. In today's technological world, they have your email and phone # with your reservation, so I would expect an email blast early in the morning warning of walking only. Pace of play was still very good, at just under 4 hours, although it looked like there were a fair number of no shows given what the reservation system was showing when we booked versus the reality of how many people were there. Despite the rain, the majority of the course was dry, with only a few holes on the back 9 being a little spongy. Very impressed with how firm the greens were despite all the rain. Grounds crew was busy cleaning up some down trees, so the greens hadn't been cleared of all the debris, which made putting difficult. Otherwise, these greens are in excellent condition, are generally easy to read, and lack any sharp breaks, which gives you a chance to score.
The reality is this course is relatively easy with WIDE fairways which are difficult to miss, and there are very few places where you can hit a ball OB. There are probably 5-6 holes which require an accurate tee shot to stay out of trouble and provide some interest to the layout and shot making skill. Otherwise its just tee it up and hit it out there with little worry.
