Green at Tunxis Country Club

Course was in good shape but very wet from all the rain we've gotten. Rough was difficult as it was soft, wet and thick. Greens varied in speed from hole to hole - no consistency.. Very few yardage markers made it a guess on many shots on what the distance was. Flat course but narrow on many holes means accuracy matters. Very disappointed that the snack bar was closed when we went by it, Only a couple of drinking fountains available on course - considering it was over 90, I went through all my drinking water and Gatorade and then no drink cart. And still no ball washers available. On the positive side - the hot dogs in the bar, were amazing.

Pace of play during the week here is solid. Group of 3 in front of us were older and knew how to keep it moving. I was paired with a group of 2. We finished the round in 3:40 walking. If you play here or the white course on a weekend forget about it the round will take you over 5 hours minimum. They don't have rangers riding the course so unless you call and complain no shot at keeping it moving. My advice is play here during the week if you can and if you have to play on weekend make sure you are calling the ranger as soon as the first 5/10 minute back up on whatever hole it is happens.

Greens were bumpy, uneven & yellow/faded as they must have been recently punched. I would not recommend playing this course for the next few weeks.

Coming here just makes my day. I love everything about this course. Make sure to come out one hour before your tee time so you could hit some at the golf range. My friends and I try to come here at least once a week. Try the green course first then play the white course the following weekend. We find the green course to be easier than the white course.Don't forget to grab something to eat after you finish your round. The food there is great. Just go there and have fun with your friends like we do. Thanks golfnow!

This course is not boring, you do not have hole after hole that seem exactly the same. Challenging par fours, some where you need to take driver off the tee and some where a long iron is best suited to put you in a good position to go for the green. This course lends to using all the clubs in your bag.

I’ve played all three courses in Tunxis and it’s my opinion that the green course is in the worst condition in terms of a greens and the ruffs, the fairways are OK but the greens were very very bumpy almost like they hadn’t been cut and rolled in over a week. But overall the layout is fantastic the pace of play was right on and the after play amenities are the best.

I can't say enough about this golf course. Like I said before; My friends and I would play here every day if we could. We play here every weekend because we love playing here. I would recommend this place to every one I know and some. The staff are really friendly. Everything about this golf course is beautiful. The layout is great. The tee box, fairways and all the greens are always in great condition. Thanks again for keeping this place in such a great condition.

We loved the layout of the course. The variety, length and the doglegs on certain holes makes for an interesting and thoughtful club selection on the majority of holes.

Every time we play here is a great day. This golf course is beautiful. The tee box, fairways a d all the greens are all the same. I love playing here. All my friends loves playing this beautiful course. You gotta come out and plY all three course. The Red course is easy. The greens ourselves is more challenging, but the white course is the hardest of the three..If you play here and leave this place and your not happy, you gotta try the food, it's really delicious. Everything about this place is great!

We had a foursome and playing together for the first time.. The front nine was really closed we finish with the score of: (95) (96) ,(97) and (97). That's what you call a close call! Everything about this course: The tee box, fairways and all the greens was in great
condition. I thank Golfnow for this opportunity to play in such a beautiful Golf Course. We all had a great time plying here. Iif you never played here before, I would recommend everyone to come out and play a round of GOLF at Tunxis Country Club in Farmington, Connecticut.

Nice course and in good shape. Saturday at noon tee time finished at 6 PM so they’re clearly not monitoring pace of play.
