About
Gillette Ridge Golf Club in Bloomfield, just outside of Hartford, is an Arnold Palmer Signature course. It is one of the toughest rounds in all of New England. The course sprawls across a beautiful landscape covered with natural wetlands and forests of towering maples, oaks, and elm trees. There are strategically placed bunkers in addition to the natural challenges but they are not excessive. The wetlands come into play on almost half of the holes at Gillette Ridge Golf Club. The approaches to the greens are seemingly intimidating but as long as you don't hit short there is always bailout area on one side. Since each hole presents a unique challenge, there is not just one signature hole, but one of the most memorable holes is the par-5 second, a true risk-reward test that requires both length and accuracy.

Great staff
Everybody we dealt with and encountered were very friendly and helpful. Glad to be able to get a round in at the end of November. Looking forward to playing again, December's golf is next. ⛳️🎅
Great warm mid November golf day
Nice course layout and hot value , was busy with other golfers after 12th hole due to nice weather day understandably
Didn’t get 18 holes in due to darkness but was fun day
Great Round
60 degree in November. Staff was very friendly. Ranger was on duty and very active with keeping groups on pace. Conditions were good. Greens were great. Value for the price is unmatched. 10/10
Great shape
The course is I. Great shape for mis November!! Greens were pretty good, very good.
Definitely would recommend..
Love this course. Only second time I've played it and it was in terrific shape! Rough was a bit thick, which made it a bit more challenging, but the fairways and greens were excellent. Only down side was the bunkers. They must have had a heavy rain a day or two ago as the sand was hardpack and some bunkers still had water in them. Otherwise this is a great course and I will absolutely play it again.
Bunkers
Course was in good shape. I know we've had a lot of rain here in connecticut this summer but the bunkers were in rough shape. Short on sand and not maintaining. Rest of the course was in pretty good shape tho.
More Customer Friendly
Course was in decent shape. Many sand traps had standing water in them due to recent rains. The most annoying part is that they don't allow you to take your cart into the parking lot to get your clubs. Every other course in the area this is not an issue. Major inconvenience.
Great course layout
Friendly staff especially Jonny Baker who's a great guy. The course is incredible
